Kahoot! - YouTube Greetings readers and future mind molders! I am back with a cool screencast video. I made a screencast video showing Kahoot how to navigate around the site. I share some helpful tips about Kahoot! and explained why it is a great app to use. The best part is that you can access Kahoot! on your phone or on your laptop! I just scratch the surface so I highly suggest checking out this app and adventuring more about the site!

Greetings readers and future mind molders! I have just recently recorded and posted a digital story for yall to enjoy! It is quick but still a simple short story. I cant wait to start using digital storytelling for more advanced and important stories. I know that digital storytelling is very helpful for students especially if you are trying to help the students paint a picture of the story. I know I need to work on being more descriptive and show probably change the voices to characters more. What do yall think?  Greetings readers and future mind molders! This will conclude the list of my favorite things. Even though I have many more I would like to talk about there is simply not enough time. So I encourage yall to put some of your favorite things in the comments. I would love to know and learn about programs and things, in general, to add to my classroom. Now let's get to the third favorite thing. I am absolutely in love with BrainPops! Before I get some sighs and groans I would like to say that again I grew up watching them in school. It could be nostalgia but I think they are still super useful and I will continue to use them in my class. There are SO many options on BrainPop. I think they literally have a video for anything you need. Need one about space? They have it. Need one about adding? They also have that! They even have some for younger audiences called BrainPop Jr. I think these videos are great review videos and great for introducing a topic. Especially if the topic you are go...

 Welcome back readers and future mind molders! I wanted to break this up into 3 parts for a better explanation so here is part two! So when teaching in elementary how do yall do reward systems? Seriously let me know in the comments because I think I have a great system and I am curious about what others use. My favorite thing to do for rewarding students is basically giving out my own currency. They are called something different each year because the classroom themes usually change every year. To give an example I used monkey money this year because the school year theme was in the wild. Students can earn it by doing good things in the classroom. Being quiet while working, sharing with students, answering questions, and showing proper hallway behavior can be ways they earn them. Then I have two things they can spend the money on. One is classroom passes that vary like being able to have shoes off in class or even a no homework pass. The other is they can buy supplies for their des...

 Greetings listeners and future mind molders! I am back to share something wonderful with all of you! After learning about so many different resources for the classroom I want to share my favorite ones that I plan to utilize more! First up to bat is Kahoot! I personally have used Kahoot! from 7th to 12th grade and let me tell you it's awesome. It is a way to play a game while also learning the course material and many of the teachers that taught me utilized it. You can use it as a review or as learning in general. Plus you get to make the questions so it can be about any topic you see fit. It is available on mobile or laptop and in the past, we would pair up sometimes if there wasn't enough technology to go around. If you need a quizzing or review game that is fun and interactive use Kahoot!
