What rights should be protected for students and teachers?

I as a future teacher want to promise myself and my future students that I will uphold and help fight for rights as a person, student, and learner in my classroom. I really want my students to feel that all of their rights are there for them. I don't feel that students should feel almost trapped in a cage with no rights. As a student I always heard that to students school felt like a prison and they felt trapped without rights. Even as they grow older they still had this hard mindset and it makes me feel sad. I had teachers that let me express my rights in school and that made me pretty much not hate school. I want to have my students understand that they can have the freedom to express their rights anytime they please. I most importantly want to protect my students freedom of speech and religion. Being quiet while working, sharing with students, answering questions, and showing proper hallway behavior can be ways they earn them. Then I have two things they can spend the money on. One is classroom passes that vary like being able to have shoes off in class or even a no homework pass. The other is they can buy supplies for their des...

How Does Gender Affect the Teaching Profession?

Since an early age women have been confined to household duties and were at first never exposed to the workforce. Through time women developed their own house into a place to learn. It at first was simple things like how they cook and clean but then they soon developed into speech. Many boys started off learning more on speech and writing because traditionally they had men in the workforce and women doing cooking and cleaning at home. Fast forward many years later we have now flipped the poportions in teachers. Men at first were the predominate teachers in actual schools. Now there is less men teachers. Most men in the education industry are superadtendents, principles, or in a coaching role. In elementary schools women are the majority and there are a couple of reasons for that. In elementary education there is no sports but just gym or physical education. Also, women tend to have a better connection with younger kids because of their nurturing and compassionate heart. With t...
