What is the Purpose of Schools?

I feel that school's purpose are to provide proper education to children and young adults that may enrich or better their knowledge of many different subjects. They should also help students learn their own rights, culture, and ethnicity so that it makes the classroom feel open for hard discussions. Many times, students do not learn important things that transfer into adult life in school. Then when students say that no one taught them these lesson teachers will get blamed or rather teachers say you should have learned that by now. We need to teach students not just algebra but finances. They need to know what a credit score is and a 401K. I feel that schools should be helping students prepare for the real world! Life after high school and college can be abrupt and sudden so I feel that schools should help in making the transition smoother for the students. We need to stop passing blame for who is not teaching students and start teaching and answering questions in order to help them make a smooth change. I feel students should know things that can be transferable to any job after high school or even college too! Without these what is the purpose of school's?
